Hi, my name is Douglas Mejia, and it is a blessing to greet you!
I am from Honduras, and I’m currently serving the Lord as a Word of Life missionary in my country. A bit of what I do at Word of Life is serving in the study area of our Leaders’ Training Center LTC (CCL being its acronym in Spanish). Our objective is to biblically form and train youth leaders so that they may model, proclaim, and teach the Gospel in their churches, as well as effectively develop their ministries to reach the youth of this beautiful country.

¡Hola, mi nombre es Douglas Mejía y es una bendición saludarte!
Soy hondureño y actualmente sirvo al Señor Jesucristo como misionero de Palabra de Vida en Honduras. Parte de lo que hago en Palabra de vida es servir en el área de estudio de nuestro Centro de Capacitación de Lideres (CCL). Nuestro objetivo, es formar y capacitar bíblicamente a líderes juveniles, para que modelen, proclamen y enseñen el evangelio en sus iglesias y desarrollen sus ministerios de manera efectiva para alcanzar la juventud de este hermoso país.

About Douglas

I had the blessing of being born in a Christian family. My parents taught me about Christ from a very early age, and that’s how I received Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was five years old. However, during my teenage years my faith had many ups and downs. Yet the Lord remains faithful when we are unfaithful. Throughout some time and with the influence of a few Word of Life missionaries and some firm believers at my local church, the Lord captivated my heart to follow and serve Him. As I finished my college studies the Lord compelled me to study His Word at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina where I studied for four years. Undoubtedly God’s Word has the power to transform the soul, as Psalms 19:7 says. During my time at Bible Institute the Lord did a great work in my heart, and He affirmed my desire and conviction to serve Him in a full-time ministry. After a few years in Argentina God brought me back to Honduras to serve Him here.

Tuve la bendición de nacer en un hogar cristiano y mis padres me compartieron el evangelio desde que yo era muy pequeño, y fue así como conocí a Cristo como mi salvador a los 5 años de edad. Sin embargo, en la adolescencia y en la juventud tuve muchos altibajos en mi fe. Pero el Señor es fiel aun cuando nosotros somos infieles. A través del ejemplo y la influencia de misioneros de Palabra de Vida y de creyentes sólidos en mi iglesia local, el Señor conquistó mi corazón para seguirle y servirle. Terminando mis estudios universitarios de ingeniería, el Señor me desafió a estudiar su Palabra en el Instituto Bíblico de Palabra de Vida en Argentina, donde estudié durante cuatro años. Verdaderamente la Palabra de Dios tiene el poder de transformar el alma como lo dice Salmos 19:7. En el Instituto Bíblico el Señor hizo grandes cosas en mi corazón, afirmó el anhelo y convicción de servirle a tiempo completo en su obra. Después de algunos años en Argentina el Señor me trajo nuevamente a Honduras para servirle.
