Word of Life Bermuda offers short term internships with exposure to Word of Life Bible Club ministry in a UNIQUE cross-cultural environment. You'll learn first hand and be discipled by personal career missionaries and experience first hand the discipleship and evangelism ministries of Word of Life. All while living in one of the most beautiful places in the world. We are looking for a Medium-Term Missionary who will serve at Churches, Youth Rallies, Teen Clubs, Vacation Bible School, Schools, and Camp.

This opportunity is part of the International Launch and CCI Programs and is open to students meeting the WOLBI qualitifacation. The primary focus of this ministry will be Local Church Ministries focus with exposure to Word of Life Camps, Superbowl and possible some regional Caribbean ministry along the same lines. Students will work alongside career missionaries in local church & public school WOL clubs, share in training conferences, camps, local church support ministry, & more

Travel

Fly in/out of L.F. Wade International Airport, which is only 30 mins. from the WOL property.

Visa

Visa Type: Employment Visa How long is it valid?: 2 years Visa Details: Word of Bermuda will apply for a WORK VISA for accepted applicants and will need 30-60 days for visa application process. Upon approval the applicant will be able to work and live in Bermuda for 2 years with the opportunity to travel back and forth to the US as many times as needed or can afford.

Food

Food will be prepared in apartment with groceries purchased each week and meals prepared by you except when eating with Word of Life Staff or other church members who will occassionally invite students to dinner.

Housing

Various studio and 1 bedroom apartments are built into the budget for internships in Bermuda. Drive to WOL Office each workday will be 20 mins on Moped scooter. Requirements will be driver's licence obtained in Bermuda for small motorcycle.

Transportation

Moped or Scooter is the most convenient and affordable form of transport in Bermuda. Cars are very expensive and do not usually justify the purchase for a 2 year stay. WOL staff will work with students to purchase a moped for $400-$500 with an annual relicensing fee of under $100.

What To Bring

Clothing for all four seasons, Insurance coverage, identification, Passport with US Visa if needed for travel through the USA. Personal Computer if you have one already, Bible.Most US brands of food, health & beauty needs are found in Bermuda but at higher prices 50-100% higher

What To Wear

Generally similar to The USA in styles of clothing and appropriateness standards of dress for church, youth groups, schools and various meetings. Bermuda does have a winter, spring, summer and fall season, but the extremes of temperatures are very mild. Winter will drop to 50-55 degrees Fahrenheit and summers will warm up to 80-89 degrees during the days with very high humidity. Considerably mild compared to the extremes found in the USA.

Qualifications

Two Single Males, ages 17-25,26-35,36-45. What level of education does the missionary need?: Bible Institute 1 year minimum or equivalent Type of ministry service: Bible Clubs Weekly Schedule: Office hours will be Mon - Fri 9:30am - 5pm. Friday night WOL Clubs in churches 7pm - 9pm Required Church attendance: Sundays and Midweek Prayer Mtg Other appointments likely for discipleship and ministry

Bermuda offers one of the most culturally diverse environments with a safe, domestic island atmosphere of paradise. A student of any cultural background will be able to feel at home in Bermuda. The most culturally shocking adjustment will be the extremely high cost of everything in our stores and economy. About the Finances

**$500 to cover the cost of the moped. Generally interns will need to raise support for salary, housing and food & transportation cost. US dollars are used in Bermuda and there is no difference between the USD and Bermudian dollar. They are used interchangeably in every retail outlet or restaurant.
