Meals will be mainly at the camp with the exception of eating at Panama City when we go for sightseeing. Food is a mix of Panamanian, American, and southern latino meals. The schedule for the meals we do it as best fit the work team, we had some teams that wanted to start working at 6:00 AM, as we have a very tropical weather, stop at 8:00 am for 30 minutes for breakfast, resume work and have lunch at 12:30 PM to have dinner at 7:00 PM.
Housing is at the camp property for all the time the team will be working at the camp. There is the possibility to stay the first and last night of the trip in a Christian hostel at an extra cost of $25 per person per night. Most groups decide to stay there the last night in country so they could be closer to the airport instead of leaving from the camp as early as 3:30 AM to get to the airport at 5:00 AM if they have an early flight. If the flight is midmorning or later in the day leaving from the camp is fine.
Transportation is all done by our WOL vehicles, (vans or buses), for ministry or sightseeing purposes.
A list of tools and others things will be sent to you when you sign up for the trip.
Panama is very casual, more from casual to informal as far as attending church. Casual is good, even jeans are accepted.
