Ministry Description
Serving at Word of Life - Austria means serving in all areas of life. From cleaning the house so the church can have a place to meet, to putting together a lesson for youth group, Word of Life Austria always involves serving the local people to show them the love of Christ. On a larger scale, there are many opportunities here to care and invest in youth. With a large population of young people, and very low percentage of Christ followers (1 in 200 people), encouraging the kids in their faith and reaching out to others is extremely important and a huge need in Austria. My desire is to see many young people strengthened in their understanding of who God is and in their own love for God, and then for these kids to reach their friends with the Gospel of Christ, impacting Europe as a whole. I get the blessing to do this through supporting local youth groups, small group bible studies, one on one mentorship, outreaches, and camp ministries!

About Allie
When I was 5 or 6 my parents decided to start looking for a new church. It was at this new church that I heard the Gospel for the first time, and my life had changed. God showed me my sin and need for Jesus, and I accepted Him then about a year later as my personal Saviour. From this day on I remember experiencing God's guidance and fellowship. When I was about 17, I began to pray and ask God what I should do with my life. God began to lay missions on my heart, and after a time of fighting Him on this I finally decided to go on my first oversees missions' trip. It was on this trip that God confirmed that missions was the right direction for me to take with my life. I then finally gave my 'yes' to God and His will and pursued this path to doing overseas ministry. This led me through many unexpected twists and turns to Europe, where I am excited to now get the blessing of being able to serve in a country that desperately needs the hope of Jesus Christ.
