About Jamie

I grew up in a Bible-Believing home, but for me, at a young age Church and God weren't important. I only went because my parents told me to and I wanted to see my friends. As I grew up I started to see my need for Christ and I realized that Jesus died for me. At the age of 17 after my mom shared the gospel with me, that evening in my bedroom I gave my life to Christ and was baptized at the age of 18. Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9, Acts 4:12, and, Romans 3:23 are among the verses my mom used when sharing the gospel and are verses I use to base my salvation on

I had felt like the Lord was calling me to missions for several months, but I kept ignoring my desire to go on a mission trip because I had a full-time job and was nervous to leave a good job for something that wasn't a sure thing. Every morning I would pray that the Lord would use me and every day I would continue to have a strong desire to get into missions
A few months ago I talked with my friends and family about my desire to go into missions. They were all very
supportive but I still was extremely apprehensive about pursuing this next step. I started feeling more and more led to go on a missions trip, however, I continued to ignore my desire because I was nervous about what this would mean for my future. After a few days of ignoring my desire, I started to think about Paul's journey to reach
the lost people. He started out persecuting Christians and then after he got saved he was so on fire for the Lord. Reading
about the love he had for the unbelievers, Christ, and his encouragement to the believers to keep their faith even when it
was hard is something that really inspires me. He did so much for the kingdom of God even despite the fact that he was mocked, imprisoned, and persecuted for preaching the good news of the Lord. His encouragement to believers to stand strong in their faith is inspiring to me. So I took the leap of faith and Quit my Job. I just got back from Ecuador and I look forward to what God has next for me.
