Our Jeju Home

We are moving to Jeju Island! We are so excited to join this branch of the Word of Life ministries here in Korea. The Jeju Bible Institute is unique in the world. Not only is it a beautiful location, it has beautiful, eternally minded people. There is a vision here to see generations of young adults trained and discipled in God's truth. Now, more than ever, this is an urgent need. As we begin to feel the cultural current pulling and pushing against our faith, it is critical that we are all prepared to take a stand firmly on the foundation of Jesus. Everything at the BI on Jeju is intentionally structured to give that strong foundation. We are eager to join the work that is happening there! For our family, this is the biggest thing we have done since moving from America to Korea. In many ways, we are starting over. Will you please pray about how you can be a part?

FAQ

When will you move? We hope to move early 2024, after the apartment is finished being remodeled and our kids finish the Korean school year.

Where will you live? Building number 3 is the middle one in this picture. Our family will live in the first level and half of the basement.

What needs to happen before you move? This building (and several others on the campus) need some major updates. This will involve structural changes, plumbing and electrical work and new windows. We need to raise the funds to do this contruction. We also need to organize a moving company to pack and move our household goods. 

What will it cost? We are still in the process of getting quotes and will update you as soon as we know. Here is an itemized list that we will continue to update:

-Remodeling the building for our family's needs 

-Shipping our belongings

-Shipping our cars

-Plane tickets for our family and pets

-Some new appliances

Will you pray for us?

This is the very top priority need for us! We need people who will pray for our transition to Jeju Island and the Bible Institute ministry. Our whole family needs your care through prayer. We are asking and expecting God to do great things! Please commit to being a part through prayer.

Do you know someone who deeply cares about seeing the next generation discipled and growing in spiritual maturity? Would you consider introducing us to them? It would be our pleasure to talk with them personally and share about our vision and ministry. We are on the edge of an amazing new work of God and we are praying about who will join us. Many of the people who will be part of this project are still strangers to us. But not to God! Will you consider being the bridge?
