About Dave

Dave Cox – I was born in Guatemala where my parents were missionaries to a tribe of Indians isolated in the mountains. Traveling with them when they went to the yearly feasts of villages, I clearly saw the contrast between the drunken revelry going on in the streets and the believers gathered for the study of the Scriptures. This influenced my wanting to accept the Christ my parents were taking to the Indians at about the age of 7.
God led us to start the Word of Life Seminary in Brazil 54 years ago, and I still do some teaching. Romans 11.36

About Mary-Ann

Mary-Ann Cox – Before Word of Life Island became a reality, our family spent the summer months at Sunrise Mountain Bible Conference on Lake George. Each morning Miss McCall would teach the children the Word of God. One morning, at the age of 5, I accepted Jesus into my heart and made Him my own personal Savior. I meet regularly with the wives of the married students at the Word of Life Seminary. Proverbs 3.5,6.
