Ministry Description

We have been serving in ministry at Word of Life in the Northeast part of Brazil since 1996. But in 2006 God asked us to assume the leadership of the ministry which had a very small team. Since then, we have been building a team and at the same time ministering to people, sharing Biblical truth at the Public Schools, Bible Clubs, Camps, Day Camp, Bible Institute and ministering in at the Leadership Training Center.

About Ivan

In my home only my mother was a christian, and my parents got divorced when I was less than a year old. At 9 years of age I heard the preaching of the Gospel and I understood that Jesus died and rose again to pay the price for my sins and got saved at that moment. When we were a teenagers, Virginia and I went to the same school and worked at Word of Life Camp together as volunteers. Some time went by and we met again at Word of Life Bible Institute. The Lord had already called each of us into full time ministry. In a special way, the Lord gave us a great love for Word of Life ministries to reach the lost.

Now, we have been with Word of Life since 1996. The great desire of our hearts is to reach Brazil's youth with the gospel and see them grow for the glory of God.

About Virginia

Virginia was born in a catholic family. After her parents passed away,at age 12, a friend in school led her to the Lord.

We got married in 1992 and two years later we had our first baby, Ivan Daniel, he was born at Word of Life Argentina while we were studying there. Samuel, the youngest, was born when we were already in the ministry at Word of Life Northeast Brazil. Both are now married and this year (2021), Ivan Daniel is coming to be part of our staff missionaries in Brazil. Samuel is a staff member of Clark Summit University, PA.

Acts 20:24 "But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself,[a] so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God."
