About Marcus

My name is Marcus, I was born in a Christian home, and ever since I was a young boy, I was very involved in church in several activities. I accepted Christ when I was nine years old, at a church camp. I understood I needed to have my own personal experience with Christ and not lean on my parents faith. It was a wonderful experience and it transformed my life.
As a small boy, I always helped my dad in his store, he had a business which later became mine, when I was older. I always imagined my life would be running my business and serving in church. However, after one year of study at the Word of Life Bible Seminary in Atibaia, Brazil, God began to work in my heart and I decided to sell the business and serve the Lord full time with my family.
I met Giselda at the Word of Life Bible Seminary in Atibaia, Brazil, in 1993, and we were married in December 1994. We have 4 children and it has been a wonderful experience to serve our Lord with Word of Life Brazil.

I arrived in Word of Life in Sao Paulo in the beginning of 1998, after being asked to serve as a missionary in the Seminary. In the beginning of 2005, we received the challenge to lead the ministry in Word of Life Mid West, Caldas Novas. I saw the Lord leading us to take that challenge. Since then, I have the privilege of directing the ministry here in Caldas Novas. We have several different ministries and a wonderful staff. Today we have 9 different ministries and programs, such as: Camps, Inn Ministry, Day Camps, Various Conferences, Bible Clubs and such. Our desire is to reach more people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ every day.

About Giselda

I was born in a Christian home where I grew up hearing of the Lord and was always involved in church.
When I was eleven years old, in a missionary service, I understood the real love of Christ for me and I accepted the challenge of serving the Lord wherever He lead me. On Jan 5, 1986, I was baptized and publicly professed my faith in Christ.

In 1992, I went to the Word of Life Bible Institute in Atibaia, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and I graduated in 1994 with a degree in Christian Education. While I was a student, I met my husband, Marcus. We married on December 17, 1994 and had four children: André (05/25/1998), Sarah (04/25/2000), Ana (08/07/2001) e Daniel (02/23/2005).
I have been a missionary with Word of Life Brazil since 1998. In 2005, we moved to Caldas Novas, Goias, and have served the Lord here in the Mid-West region since then.
We have a small staff here and we all have the privilege of being involved in all areas of ministry. I have personally been more involved in Day Camps, Womens Conference, Inn Ministries ( overseeing all classes for children and teens) and other conferences helping where there is a need.

I am so thankful to the Lord for the privilege of serving him and because He has used me in this wonderful ministry.
