Ministry Description

Throughout the week, I would attend language school classes, complete homework for those, and be given the opportunity to serve the staff and students in a service area including kitchen, housekeeping, or outside maintenance alongside French speakers. Wednesdays, I would have the opportunity to go through Quiet Time devotionals with Parole de Vie staff and students, attend chapel, a women's prayer and accountability meeting, and a discipleship meeting. Every few weeks, there will be afternoon activities to participate in, presenting the opportunity to build relationships with the students native to Quebec at the Bible Institute. And there will be ministry outings and events including Reverb, Snowcamp, Summer camp, and more.

About

I did not have a relationship with God and searched restlessly for something that satisfied and lasted. God in His kindness revealed to me that I was made to know Him and helped me to trust that the sin that separated me from Him was dealt with. He restored me to relationship with Him and filled my heart with satisfaction, joy, rest, and peace, overwhelming me with a love that didn't compare to anything I had known. When God saved me, Him transforming my life completely, He gave me a desire for people to know and to have the same thing. I began to tell my family about Jesus, my classmates in public high school, and strangers. I found out about missions and knew pretty quickly that that's what I wanted to do with my life, share the gospel with those who haven't been given the opportunity yet to respond to it. Diving deeper into the Word of God, and witnessing loss of life, I became more aware of God's will in preaching the gospel and more burdened for those who will spend forever apart from God in Hell without Him. God's command in Scripture is clear, to make disciples of all the nations (Matt. 28:19-20). God had given me the opportunity to take a missions trip with Word of Life to the French-speaking province of Quebec in Canada. When I went, I observed very few knew Jesus or had hope, yet that people were willing to have spiritual conversations; the harvest was truly plentiful, but so few were the laborers. I was presented with the need, given a love for the people, and an open opportunity to respond, with the Great Commission fueling this conviction.

Matthew 28:19-10, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
