Ministry Description

My job is to mentor the young women who come to WDL for a year as students. I believe that God uses his word to shape and change my heart and my life. But God doesn't just do this in my life. That's why I want to encourage the students in this very process.

About Erika

I grew up in a Christian home and faith and church has always been an integral part of my life. Although I knew a lot, it took me a while as a teenager to begin to understand my own self-righteous life and my need for grace and to trust Jesus as my Savior. Since that time, I have been allowed to grow more and more in my faith and understand more deeply what it actually means for my life that Christ died for my sins and rose from the dead. In 2014-15 I came to WDL Köris as a student. This intensive year of personal study of God's Word was life-changing for me and left me hungry for more. After completing a two-year counseling course at EBTC, I was able to serve God for a few more years in my home church in southern Germany and have now been full-time at WDL Köris since 2021. It is a joy and a privilege for me to see how young people begin to marvel at God and grow in their relationship with Him.
