Ministry Description

We are going to be focused on youth ministry and personal discipleship with teenagers in Panama. This includes weekly youth group meetings, discipleship meetings, preaching and teaching, Biblical counseling and camp ministries in Spanish and English. We will also have a special focus on worship music ministry helping out the local church. We want to help ourselves and others worship the Lord through music.

About Ethan

I first came to know the Lord at a young age. Largely thanks to faithfulness of my parents and other believers in my life. My Dad explained to me that Jesus died and rose again for me so that I could be forgiven for my sins and have eternal life. Growing up I took my faith seriously but I didn't completely understand my purpose in sharing the Gospel. In high school, I began feeling very anxious and frustrated and felt like I lacked a purpose in my life. In the middle of that season Covid started and that was when I started reading the book of Ecclesiastes. As I read through it I started seeing some of my thoughts reflected in that book (I.e. that the pleasures and the successes of this world have no eternal meaning). At the end of the book of Ecclesiastes. Ecc. 12:13 it says , "Now all has been heard, here is the conclusion of the matter fear God and keep His commandments for this is the duty of all mankind."
I realized that my purpose is to do what God wanted me to do and what he wanted me to do (and all of us actually) is to share the Gospel. So we are now preparing to go to Panama and proclaim the Gospel with my soon to be wife Cassidy!

About Cassidy

I grew up in a home with two parents who loved the Lord and taught me and my siblings about God. At a young age I understood that God was the creator of the world and that he made us in his image yet humans decided to disobey God because we thought we knew what was best. I understood that Jesus is God and he paid the price for the sins of the world. When I was about 12 years old, I was diagnosed with a late stage of Lyme disease, at the time I didn't realize how much of an impact it would have on me. I began to become very self-conscious about learning and feeling behind compared to my peers. In my junior year of high school, I went on a trip with my youth group and there was one sermon at the end of the week that was about love versus fear. The word of God was speaking to me like I had never heard it before and I realized I was making my life about me and what I was going to do with it. I felt a weight off my shoulders when I realized that that wasn't what life was about. I realized my purpose in this life was to tell others of the love that saved me.
