About Emma

While sometimes I do wish that I had an epic tale of a testimony (note the correct usage of "epic"), I have come to truly value the lifetime of Biblical training I have received. I was raised up in the Lutheran school system for 17 years and took that education for granted. When I was studying in Austria, I was in awe of the gorgeous Catholic and Evangelical churches that anchor every locale, from the capital city to the most remote villages. However, I soon discovered that many of them sit mostly empty on Sundays, and many parishioners appear to attend church to "check the box" and live the rest of their days as "hearers only" rather than "doers" (James 1). I longed to return to Austria with a deeper purpose than study and travel. When I heard of this opportunity to support churches by building up youth and Sunday school programs, everything clicked into place.

James 3:17-18 "But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace."
