Ministry Description

We are responsible to oversee the Bible Club Programs in the region of Huehuetenango (North-West area of the country). We disciple the leaders and some of the teens that attend, and we also visit and assist them in their programs. We also meet with pastors to present the Word of Life ministry.

About Ferdy

having been born into a Christian home, my parents taught me Biblical values from a very young age. When I was 7 years old I understood my condition as a sinner, and that the only because of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, I could be saved. Later in the year 2000 I was introduced Word of Life Guatemala, however we were not able to begin a Bible Club program in our church until 2006. Through that program I began implementing godly habits in my life, and I learned to live in integrity. That following summer I had the opportunity to be a counselor for the camp season. The Lord worked tremendously in my life, showing me the importance of serving him, and at a campfire service, I dedicated my life to the Lord and made the commitment to equip myself to serve Him in full-time ministry. That next year I attended the Bible Institute in Argentina for one year. My desire was to return and complete the next two years, bu for financial reasons, I was not able to.
In 2010 Paty and I were married. She also had he desire to attend the Bible Institute, and even though that opportunity was not granted to us, God has continued to work in our lives, teaching us o depend on Him completely.
In 2015, after going through some difficult and painful circumstances, the Lord reminded us once again of His purpose in our lives. We decided to quit our jobs and serve the Lord full-time.

About Paty

I grew up in a Christian home and at the age of 6 I trusted in Christ as mi savior. However, throughout my childhood I had many fears, but when I was 13 years old I finally understood that Christ had already carried on the cross every burden and every fear that could ever exist. I started to get involve in my church, and that allowed me to grow in my knowledge of God. In 2006 I was introduced to the Word of Life Guatemala ministry through a Bible Club program and I became a youth leader. I dedicated my life to the Lord at a campfire service, surrendering my life for the Lord to use me however he wanted to. The years went by, and the Lord continually reminded me of the commitment I had made, which made the desire to study His Word only grow more and more.
In 2015 God allowed us as family to start serving Him in full-time ministry. This has been a blessed time as we have seen and rejoiced to see God's care in every area of our lives.

And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry. 1 Timothy 1:12
