About Gustavo

Personal testimony (Gustavo Mujica)
I was born in Venezuela on May 7, 1984. I am happily married to Raquel Araujo de Mujica. We have two children, Enyer Mujica and Thatiana Mujica.

I grew up in a dysfunctional home and was a non-practicing Catholic. At the age of 26, the gospel was shared with me for the first time and at that moment I rejected it. My life was a complete mess. Work, parties, and women were my idols. The consequences for my actions did not take long to arrive and I had many kinds of conflicts in my life.

From 2010 to 2016, I was exposed to the gospel on many occasions but it wasn’t until I was 32 years old that I made the decision to follow Christ. At that time, I came to understand the plan of salvation during a study of the book of Genesis, chapters 1,2 and 3 (creation-original design-fall of man) and John 1:12/14:6 (Jesus gives us by grace access to the Father through faith). This was the special moment where I was born again. Since then I have had the desire to know God every day through His word, and as a result, my life has progressed in different personal areas.

2018-2019
By the grace of God, we decided to obey God’s call and become part of the Great Commission full time, with a great desire to evangelize and disciple young people and adults in our local church in Mérida, Venezuela.
2020-2021
We were challenged to study online at Word of Life’s Bible Institute in Argentina to grow in understanding and knowledge of the Word of God. It was a year of great learning.
2022-2023
The Lord allowed us to continue studying in person at Word of Life’s Bible Institute in Mexico, through a comprehensive form of study, focused on three areas: Life, Study and Ministry in the local church.
August 1, 2023
We were approved by the International Word of Life Council as missionaries of this organization.
What are we aiming for?
We have in our hearts to go to Costa Rica to serve together with the missionary team that operates there and continue with this beautiful work of going to preach the gospel to all nations.

About Raquel

Personal testimony (Raquel Araujo de Mujica)

I grew up in a Christian home. My father was a pastor and my mother was a nurse. I have three older brothers. I am the youngest. From a very early age I heard the Word of God and was involved with frequent activities carried out in my local church. But it was in 2003 when I was thirteen years old that I understood the plan of salvation at a youth event, and I understood how great the love of God was by sending Jesus Christ to forgive my sins (Romans 5:8). The religious habits that I used to practice routinely in my life now made sense and had meaning.

In 2009, at the age of 19, during my time at college, I cooled down spiritually, which began as a result of a division that occurred in my local church and due to a lack of discipleship in my life. I let sin into my life and started doing things my way without taking into account the principles of God that I had learned. Of course this decision brought consequences to my life. While I was stuck in my sin and sadness, I was convicted by the Holy Spirit and confronted by the Word of God. I acknowledged that I had strayed from the right path and at that moment my family and brothers in the faith prayed for me. And in the year 2016, I returned to my Father's house, through a sister in faith, asking for forgiveness and mercy. And just like the story of the prodigal son, the Lord welcomed me with open arms (Luke 15:11-28). And from that moment I began a restoration process in my life to heal all the areas that had been affected.
