Ministry Description

While on the field, I will have the responsibility of being involved in a discipleship training program, where I will have the opportunity to walk alongside students with the intention of pointing them to the Lord. I will also have the responsibility of helping out with both summer and winter camps, soccer ministry, local church ministry, school ministry, property work, as well as participating in other outreach events. I will also be taking classes online with Liberty university towards a biblical counseling degree.

About

I trusted in Christ when I was only six years old and my mom shared the gospel with me which is that God created us to be in a relationship with Him, but we sinned and that separated us from God. Sin is anything we think, say, or do that goes against God’s law or falls short of His standard and God is perfect, so His standard is perfection. Therefore, we all fall short of that standard. In the Bible it says that the wages of any, even one sin that we do is deserving of death and separation from God in hell for eternity. This terrified me, but that’s where the good news comes in…because God wanted that relationship with us, with me and you, He sent His son Jesus to live a perfect life on earth as a man and then to die the death that we deserve to die for our sins on the cross. He didn’t stay dead, but came back to life three days later! This proved that He was God, as He defeated sin and death. Now He offers us the opportunity to confess with our mouth that He is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead in order to spend eternity with Him forever in heaven.
When my mom shared that with me, I believed it, but it didn’t change my life right away because I didn’t recognize how it affected my life on earth and not just after I die. However, In seventh grade, a youth leader started meeting with me and two of my friends and spending time in the Bible with us. This is when I recognized the importance of actually spending time with the Lord in order to grow in my relationship with Him. I recognized that just like in any relationship, you can’t get to know someone without spending time with them.
Since then, there have been ups and downs where I trust the Lord’s plan in my life and spend time with Him consistently and days where I don’t. However, I know that when I am faithless, He remains faithful. I know that nothing can seperate me from His powerful love.
That’s why now I am seeking opportunities to live my life for the God who gave up His for me and to tell others that there is a God who can do the same for them!
