Ministry Description

Here at Word of Life Korea, I have been entrusted with the privilege of being the camp coordinator. My tasks include supervising everything camp related directly under our camp director. I am responsible for managing, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring the way, shape, and form of the camp ministries in both summer and winter. This is all for the goal of making camp the perfect place for each campers taking their next steps with Jesus.

About Ella

I grew up going to church with my mother, and although my father did not go to church, he never stopped me from going. I always participated in Sunday school, retreats, camps, and other events, and church became a part of my life. I believed in God and knew who Jesus was, but I thought the way to receive salvation was through works.
When I was in high school, my father accepted Christ and began sharing the Gospel. He always listened to gospel audio messages in the car, and through that, I was repeatedly exposed to the message. That was when I first understood that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus alone. When I came to understand that truth, I felt joy, but despite my desire to follow Jesus, my life was still centered on myself. I often followed the standards of the world and my own desires.
Things changed when I joined SYME (School of Youth Ministry in English) at Word of Life Korea. There, I studied God’s Word deeply and began to understand the seriousness of sin and the beauty of the gospel. As I grew in my knowledge of God's grace, I also felt a growing desire to share that grace with others.
This desire developed into a sense of calling to ministry. I started asking, “How can I share the gospel through my life?” As I studied at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Jeju and New York, my awareness of my sin deepened, but so did my experience of God’s love and mercy.
Now I long to share the good news of Jesus with others, and so I returned to Word of Life Korea, where I first started following Jesus. Here, I want to continue sharing hope that changed my life with my people. Even though I am still weak and often fail, I remember the grace of God, who upholds me and lifts me up each time. In the place where God has called me, I am now living a life that proclaims the gospel and reflects the love of Jesus.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 "But he said to me, "my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness," Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, I am content with weakness, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
