Hi, I'm Ella Lim. I minister in South Korea Mainland.
Here at Word of Life Korea, I have been entrusted with the privilege of being the camp coordinator. My tasks include supervising everything camp related directly under our camp director. I am responsible for managing, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring the way, shape, and form of the camp ministries in both summer and winter. This is all for the goal of making camp the perfect place for each campers taking their next steps with Jesus.

I have attended church ever since I was a child, following my mother. Although my father did not go to church, he never stopped me from going. Naturally, I became involved in various church activities such as Sunday school, retreats, and Christmas events, and church became a regular part of my life. I knew who Jesus was and what He had done on the cross, but I saw Him more as a religious person rather than someone I had a personal relationship with.
During high school, my father accepted Jesus and started evangelism training. My father always played a Korean gospel radio in his car, so I was repeatedly exposed to the gospel. It was during that time that I first realized the core of the gospel: that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. I was filled with joy when I realized that it is not my works that save me. However, my life did not change much then. Moreover, I misunderstood the truth of “faith alone,” and instead of being led to repentance, I became more careless about sin. Though I still enjoyed worshiping God and sharing about Jesus, I continued to live a life where I prioritized myself and conformed to the world.
Later on, I had the opportunity to join the SYME (School of Youth Ministry in English) program at Word of Life Korea. There, I was able to study God’s Word deeply, which led me to reexamine what it truly means to live as a Christian. I gained a deeper understanding of how serious sin is and how valuable the gospel is. I began to truly realize how great and precious God’s grace is. As I grasped the worth of the gospel more deeply, a desire to share it with others grew in my heart. I became convinced that the gospel is not just for me; it is something that must be shared with others.
That conviction led to a sense of calling into ministry. The question, “How can I share the gospel through my life?” stirred my heart to dedicate myself to studying God’s Word and becoming more involved in ministry. My desire to share the joyful news of the gospel became more focused, eventually expanding to longing to reflect God’s heart for the next generation. After attending the Word of Life Bible Institute in Jeju and New York and continuing to meditate on God’s Word, I became more aware of my own sinfulness. But at the same time, the beauty of the gospel and the love of Jesus became clearer, and I began to experience His grace more deeply each day. Now I long to share the good news of Jesus with others, and so I returned to Word of Life Korea where I started following Jesus myself. Here I want to continue sharing the hope that changed my life with my people.
Even though I am still weak and often fail, I remember the grace of God who upholds me and lifts me up each time. And in the place where God has called me, I am now living a life that proclaims the gospel and reflects the love of Jesus.
