Ministry Description

At Word of Life Nicaragua, I’ll be serving in multiple areas with the goal of reaching young people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I’ll be connected with a local church through their youth Bible Club, where I can build relationships and, as my Spanish improves, begin discipling students. I’ll also help organize events such as camps, conferences, sports activities, and training sessions that serve churches across Nicaragua. In addition, I’ll take part in evangelistic ministries like school outreaches and evangelistic tours. If the Ministry Training Center launches, I’ll also have the opportunity to invest in students by assisting with English classes, sports, work projects, and discipleship.

About Isaac

I was raised in a “Christian” home, though my family’s faith was mostly in name, not practice. In second grade, I began attending a boys’ program called Christian Service Brigade—not because I cared about Jesus, but because I enjoyed the games. By sixth grade I joined the teen youth group, and a year later I was invited onto the Jr. Leadership Team. I accepted, mainly for the attention.

Later that year, I was running in church when my youth leader called out, “Boys don’t run!” That moment hit me deeply—I realized I wasn’t just running in the halls, but running from the Lord. From then on, I was discipled and trained to teach, serving weekly until I graduated.

After high school, I attended Word of Life Bible Institute for two years. During my second year, at the 2024 Missions Conference, a friend asked if I had considered missions. Around that time, I prayed and surrendered to the Lord, promising that if He helped me through a personal struggle, I would follow Him into missions. I later went on a missions trip to Nicaragua, where God reminded me of that promise.

When I returned, I sought the Lord in prayer and applied for the Word of Life Cross Cultural Internship. God made it clear that He was calling me into ministry, and I’ve been pursuing that path ever since.

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” -Isaiah 6:8
