Ministry Description

This spring, I have the privilege of going on a short-term missions trip to Nicaragua! This trip is part of a Spring Semester course every sophomore student takes at Word of Life Bible Institute. Instead of only learning about missions in the classroom, students get to raise support and participate in missions around the world alongside Word of Life missionaries. At WOL Nicaragua, the ministry is focused on Bible Clubs, where local church youth leaders are trained to minister to the youth, win souls for Christ and disciple them in the Word. Summer camps, sports activities, school ministry, and evangelistic campaigns are also part of the ministry. Finally, an "English for Life," program was recently started that utilizes English as a Second Language (ESL) to evangelize and disciple. This trip will include local church ministry, specifically with teen Bible clubs and children’s clubs, door-to-door evangelism that will help local churches reach their communities, and evangelistic sports activities with the aim of reaching the community where WOL Nicaragua is located.
