Hi, I'm Inah Cabanilla. I minister in the Philippines.
I currently serve at Word of Life Bible Institute Philippines as the Dean of Women, where I guide and support students in their spiritual and personal growth. I also serve as the Institute Nurse, helping with health concerns and first aid.
By God’s grace, I am now in the process of transitioning from the Philippines to a new ministry opportunity at WOL Fiji. While I continue to serve as Dean of Women this school year, I am also preparing for this next step—trusting that the same God who has led me this far will continue to guide and provide in the journey ahead.
Learn more about the ministry in the Philippines.
I grew up in a Christian home—my dad was a pastor and my mom a homemaker. Surrounded by Bible stories and Christian education, I heard the gospel early on, but it wasn't until high school that it became personal. One evening, when my dad shared the message again—that I was a sinner and Christ had paid the price—I understood and chose to place my faith in Jesus as my Savior.
By God’s grace, I earned a Nursing degree and became a registered nurse. While awaiting my board results, I studied at Word of Life Bible Institute (WOLBI), where my faith deepened and I developed a habit of daily devotion. Over time, I served in local and international evangelistic ministries, using both my medical training and biblical foundation.
God’s call became clearer as I worked with an NGO caring for street children, finding joy in sharing His Word through health education. When I committed to full-time ministry, challenges arose—especially when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Yet God provided miraculously, covering both my further training at WOLBI and my mom’s surgery, affirming His faithfulness.
I later served as Camp Coordinator at WOL Camp for nearly five years, then as a caregiver in South Korea. Eventually, God led me back to the Philippines, where I now serve as Dean of Women. This is my third year in the role, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to disciple young women and excited for what God will do in this new school year.
Last year, God gradually placed a burden on my heart to serve somewhere new. During that time, we had students from Fiji, and learning about their country sparked my curiosity and led me to pray specifically for the ministry and healthcare needs there. As I continued to seek God’s Word and wisdom, the desire to serve in Fiji grew stronger. After much prayer, I shared this calling with our leadership. By God’s grace, I am now in the process of transitioning from the Philippines to a new ministry opportunity at WOL Fiji.
