Ministry Description

This year, the Lord gave us the privilege of coming to Colombia to lead the Word of Life ministry. Our vision is for young people to take their next step with Jesus. We currently live in Bogotá, where we serve churches and develop leadership training. We provide the necessary resources for them to develop a youth ministry that glorifies God in their local churches.

We also direct special ministry programs through which we reach schools and share the powerful gospel of Jesus Christ with children and youth. Over the years, we have witnessed God touching hearts through His Word, transforming lives with His power.

We also serve the Lord through personal discipleship and evangelism in our local church, where we gather faithfully and desire to continue growing for God's glory.

Through our service to the Lord, we hope that many children and youth will hear the Gospel of Christ, be discipled, and reach their generation, making a difference wherever they are. We also hope that this ministry will grow so that we can reach every place in Colombia.

About Jhosued

I was born in Bogota, Colombia. When I was only 3 years old, my father died. I grew up in a home where God was not a part of our thoughts or decisions. We moved when I was 9 years old. The new friends I met were bad influences, and it was with them that I first tried drugs and made poor choices that led me to crime. While in this condition, I entered a Christian rehab center. It was there that I heard the Gospel and began to understand that my problem was not drugs, theft, or my poor choices. I realized that my problem was the sin in my heart which sadly separated me from God. That was when I made the most important decision of my life, to accept the salvation of Christ in my heart. After this decision I began getting to know God, and when I finished my time in the center, I met a missionary from Word of Life Argentina who invited me to camp. In 2008 I traveled to Argentina, and during that week of camp I dedicated my life to God, all that I am, all that I have, devoted to the Lord and His service. That same year I started my studies at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina.

I met Omayra in the Bible Institute, and after a while of being good friends, we began to pray together, then we started dating, got engaged, and were married in the Dominican Republic. By the grace of God, we have two beautiful children, Eliel, 9 years old, and Hellen, 4 years old.

About Omayra

By the grace of God, I was able to grow up in a Christian family in the Dominican Republic. At an early age I realized that was a sinner and that Christ alone could cleanse me of my sins. At 8 years old, I understood the security of my salvation, and soon after I was introduced to the ministry of Word of Life. When I was 10 years old, I went to my first camp, and in the camp-fire service I dedicated my life to Christ. From then, I continued to grow in the church with very godly parents. At just 10 years old, I was already teaching children’s classes in the church, and so I grew up with a great desire to serve the Lord. When I was 17, my parents decided to study in Word of Life Argentina and a year later I began to study there as well. It was a beautiful time where I could learn a lot from the Bible and to love my God even more. In my first year I consecrated my life to Christ as an adult to serve and bring His Word to the many people who do not know him.
