Get to Know Jonathan Howes

Ministry Description

I was born in Germany, but I grew up in Africa as a child of missionaries. I am very thankful for that, because I got to learn a lot from my parents and other missionaries. They had a big influence in my life and I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. There were a lot of ups and downs in my relationship with God but God used his word and many people to help me stay with him. In 2016 I married my wife Alexandra and in 2017 our son David was born. Last year in 2020 God blessed us with our daughter Helen. In 2018/19 I attended the Bible Institute here at Lake Koeris. The time here had a great impact on my life because I grew closer to God and his word and learned a lot. For that I am very thankful. In September 2019 I also started a biblical counseling training at the EBTC (European Bible Training Center) which I will finish this year in June. My wife and I are happy to serve the Lord here.

About Jonathan

In 2019/20 I joined the Word of Life Lake Koeris team as the Dean of Students. It´s a pleasure for me to take part in the lives of the male students supporting them on their way growing closer to the Lord. Helping them with questions that they have concerning many aspects of their lives and sharing my life and time with them. It´s beautiful to see how God is working in their lives.
