Ministry Description

My day-to-day responsibilities range from helping with our video game ministry, WOLBI Gaming, to serving at different events and activities Word of Life hosts. I also have the opportunity to preach through our travel outreach ministry, Vibrant. In this, a group of us go out to youth groups and share God's Word and information about our Bible Institute in Owen Sound, but we also connect with youth through games and fun activities. Word of Life does Open Air Evangelism in downtown Owen Sound, which I am also a part of.

About

I'm grateful to have grown up in a Christian home and accepted Christ as my Saviour at a young age, but for years, I was just going through the motions. In high school, I was challenged in my faith and realized I wasn't truly living for God, which led me to pursue Him more seriously. God then led me to attend Word of Life Bible Institute in Owen Sound, where I grew and deepened my relationship with Him. After that, He guided me to pursue a second year of Bible school in Pottersville, NY, continuing to shape my heart for Him and for ministry.

God also grew me a lot during my second year; specifically, I had the opportunity to play volleyball against a secular school and share the Gospel afterwards. I never realized sports could be an avenue to sharing the Good News. I also got the chance to go to Mexico. On the first day, we went out on evangelism with a translator, and God convicted me of how easy it would be to share the Gospel in Canada. This past summer, I helped lead youth camp as a Unit Leader, and God continued to grow me. He taught me humility and to seek His strength in everything

Through these experiences, I have felt God's call to full-time ministry in Ontario, Canada. As I've seen Him work in my own life and in the lives of the people I've served, my desire has grown to spend my life pointing others to Christ and see them take their next steps with Jesus. I have a particular burden for teenage guys, and I long to come alongside them through honest, authentic conversations as they work through the challenges they face and learn to follow Jesus for themselves. That is why I'm pursuing further biblical training, so that I can serve with both a strong foundation in God's Word and a heart for people.

Recently, God has given me an incredible opportunity to serve as a Youth Ministry and Vibrant Intern in Owen Sound, and I am also pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. I'm very excited to see how God will work through me and stretch me and how He will provide for me this year.

1 Peter 4:11, this verse has greatly impacted my life in regards to it being a reminder to speak from God's Word because it's His Word that has authority not mine. Or in serving, serving from the strength that God provides, not my own. Also I pray that God may be glorified in everything I do.
