Ministry Description

As Word of Life Team we organize many activities like summer camps, conferences, training leaders, meeting with pastors, discipleship, etc... where all the Word of Life missionaries, collaborators and people that we know from churches are part of these wonderful work of God. But also we preach the gospel with teams from USA in different places of the country and retreats that we have with schools.

The Ministry Training Center, or CCM (Centro de Capacitación Ministerial) in spanish, is a one year program, where the students are challenged to a service life to the Lord, through the bible study, discipleship and ministry training, so they can be trained to serve in their local churches, as a powerful ministry force.

About Jorge

My name is Jorge and I’m 36 years old. For a long time I lived my life without purpose, away from God, doing bad things, and hanging out with bad relationships. I wanted to get money and live on my own. I got saved when I was 24 at a retreat and God changed my life. Not long after that, I got involved with Word of Life in Managua and really enjoyed it. In Summer Camp 2010, for the first time, the Lord called me to study His Word at the Bible Institute in Argentina. I graduated from the Institute in 2016 and returned to Managua where God called me to serve as a full time missionary with Word of Life Nicaragua. In August 2017, I traveled to Word of Life Mexico to become an official missionary.

Nowaday, I'm serving the Lord full time alongside my beautiful wife Edel, in this wonderful ministry, training students through the Ministry Training Center in Word of Life Nicaragua, as the Student Life Dean; but also, training and helping Bible Clubs leaders in different churches, as we continue reaching nicaraguan young people with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

About Edel

My name is Edel. I´m 29 years old. I was born in a Catholic family and for a long time I was afraid of death. I had no idea what was going to happen after death until one day my cousin shared the gospel with me and I understood the message of Salvation, but it was until 2011 during a Word of Life’s Summer Camp that in front the bonfire and listening to a song I understood how huge had Jesus Sacrifice been for me and I accepted the gift of eternal life. In 2012 I started serving with more commitment in my local church and in July that same year I decided joining Word of Life Bible Institute where I also made the decision of serving full time and giving my life to our Lord as a missionary. I am now serving as a full-time missionary assisting my husband in the Ministry Training Center, as part of Word of Life Nicaragua.

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. Acts 20:24
