Ministry Description

My role in serving at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Hungary is mainly working in the Academic Office. My daily tasks include things like grading assignments, contacting upcoming teachers, and many other tasks. I also assit in the music ministry helping on the tech side of things. This includes helping during practices, chapels, and when we go out to minister at different churches and schools around Hungary. My greater role though is mentoring students in day-to-day life and helping them live their lives for Christ. We are called to make disciples and I am so excited to pour into students' lives! I also will be helping in any other capacities needed during the school year and summer ministry season.

About Josephine

When I was about nine years old I remember going to a VBS at my church and hearing about God clearly for the first time. At that time I said the sinners prayer, but I don't believe that I actually knew what it meant or what the gospel was. During my high school years, I came up to Word of Life during the summers to volunteer as part of the camp crew program and served as summer staff at the Word of Life Pines. Through doing that, I heard about the Word of Life Bible Institute. After I graduated high school I attended the Word of Life Bible Institute. While there we had an event called Missions Conference where Word of Life missionaries from all over the world come and talk about their ministries. During that event I heard the gospel for probably the hundredth time and for some reason it clicked in my brain that I did not fully know where I was going where I died. I knew Jesus, knew that I loved Him, and knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life telling the world about Him. So I decided to fully dedicate my life to Him and to doing ministry in whatever way He called me too. I felt the Lord calling me towards missions and so with the help of the Cross Cultural Internship program I will be going to Hungary to spread the truth of God's word in whatever aspect I can. I will be able to use skills that I have learned while at Word of Life to serve in a way that I normally would not have been able to. God has been so faithful in providing for me over and over again. I have no doubt that as long as I am following His will for my life that He will continue to provide.
