About Jesse

Jesse.
I grew up catholic knowing of a God, but not knowing much about him, mostly just memorizing religious practices. After my father died when I was 19 it left me in a spot wondering if God really existed. A man that I worked with invited me to his church. I enjoyed it because the people there were very kind and loving. I later was invited to a baptism service where people shared their testimonies. At the time I felt that God would never have wanted someone like me with all my sins and failures, but through someone’s testimony I knew I could be forgiven and that Jesus died for my sins and that He loved me. I continued with my old life but now with conviction. I ended up leaving my hometown and moving to Florida to work, that is when I finally started to grow in the relationship with the Lord. I later returned home and got more involved with my church. I remembered some missionaries visiting to raise support, I later decided to go on a short terms work trip to WOL Mexico. After going on the trip I made a decision to go to the WOL Bible Institute in Florida. After facing some mistakes I made a decision in the Missions Conference to dedicate my life to the Lord. In my second year in the BI in NY I went on a two month missions trip alone to Bolivia, where I decided to return and serve. I met my wonderful wife here who was also serving in the ministry. Now we are serving here together in WOL Bolivia.

Laura
My name is Laura, I was born in a Catholic family not very devoted but with many values . When I was 17 I was invited to a WOL camp in Bolivia and for the first time I heard the plan of salvation. It was there that I understood that I was separated from God and I needed a savior. I was the first in my family to know Christ. I later found a church and worked with International Compassion. In 2009 The Lord called me to WOL Argentina to study His word for one year. After, I returned to Bolivia to work in the church with Compassion and also later with my profession of Interior Design. And again the Lord called me to finish my studies at WOL Argentina for two more years, it was in my second year of the Bible Institute that God marked in my heart a call to serve him full time, no matter where I only wanted to serve him. I returned again to Bolivia and in 2018 God put in my heart to faithfully serve him in WOL Bolivia. It was there where I met my husband Jesse. Now we serve the Lord together in WOL Bolivia until he calls us elsewhere.

Psalm 37:5 “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.”
