Ministry Description

I will be going to South Africa to help with Word of Life South Africa for a little over 2 weeks in the beginning of July and I am so excited. While I am there, I will be helping out with VBS with kids, visiting and ministering at an orphanage, helping out with church youth groups, doing evangelism, and serving doing some work around the campus. I am excited to see the Lord work through this trip, but I also understand that it will be a difficult but beneficial learning experience for me. I would love everyone to be praying for this trip that there would be much fruit seen while there. I would also appreciate prayer for the missionaries that are there they would be encouraged and taken care of as they prepare these events in South Africa. If you could be praying for safe travels for me as I will be going by myself to South Africa so that I can have safety. I will be joined by a group there a few days after I get there but I will be traveling by myself.

About Travis

I was saved when I was around 3 or 4. I understood that I was a sinner and needed Jesus In my life and the only way I could be saved was through Jesus. I struggled for a long time with my identity and finding it in sports instead of Christ. I want to be able to help kids and adults understand that our purpose and identity is through Jesus and his death and resurrection and how his life is the joy of our lives now. It is not in anything that we can find in this world.

Job 1:20 “ Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head, and he fell to the ground and worshiped. 21He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”
