Ministry Description

We are the Bible Clubs coordinators for the churches around the camp area, and I serve in the administration of the camp property. We are also involved in a ministry called New Life Project, that establishes local churches in the area of Cañete.

About Juan Carlos

I grew up learning about God. My older brother took me to church since a was a little boy, and I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior at the age of 8. I continued to grow in my faith and I got involved in the children's ministry in my church.

Kelly and I started dating when we were 18. We traveled to Argentina in 1987 to study how to do missionary work in rural schools. There, we met an alumni of the Word of Life Bible Institute. He introduced me to Word of Life and I ended up enrolling there for Bible school and deciding to serve in full time ministry. We returned to Peru in 1990 and got married in 1991. Since then, we have been enjoying God's provision, protection, plan and purpose in our lives, serving with WOL Peru.

About Kelly

When I was 11, I lost my dad. It was a very difficult time, specially for my mom who was left with 6 children to raise. She found Jesus and started taking us to church and directing us to Him. I was always grateful to God and had a desire to serve Him.

At 18, God allowed me to travel to Argentina with Juan Carlos to study a career. God changed our plans through the testimony of a Bible Institute student, and felt God calling us to prepare at the Word of Life Bible Institute. There, I heard the Gospel of salvation clearly for the first time. I came from a church that believed salvation could be lost, but I was able to reaffirm my salvation. I realized I was a sinner and needed to receive Christ in my heart. I later dedicated my life and decided to serve God full time.

God has blessed our marriage with two wonderful boys. Pablo (23) and Matías (13). Pablo has finished his studies at the BI in Argentina and is now serving alongside us in our local church.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
