Ministry Description

My main responsibility as Dean of Women is to disciple the female students through one-on-one meetings and small groups. I am part of the Student Life Team. We work together to plan fun events for students. These events help us to build relationships with one another. I also help plan the Missions Conference in the spring. Throughout the spring semester, I prepare students for our Cross-Cultural Studies trip to an Indigenous community in Northern Canada.

About Kimberley

I grew up going to church every Sunday and praying before every meal. One summer at a Christian camp, I heard the Gospel and decided to put my trust in Christ. During my first year of university, I joined Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship. A few leaders intentionally spent time discipling me. This had a huge impact on my life. After university, I worked in a fly-in Indigenous community in Northern Ontario teaching elementary school. Although I loved my job and the students I taught, the suffering I saw those around me facing weighed heavy on me. I too experienced hardships during that time which made me physically, emotionally and spiritually unwell. For these reasons, I decided to finish the school year and attend Word of Life Bible Institute, Owen Sound that September. During my year at the Bible Institute, I was discipled by the Dean of Women who used God's Word to help me work through my suffering. That summer, I began interning at a women's residential treatment centre and began the process of becoming a Biblical Counsellor. Due to Covid-19, I ended my internship three months early. During this time, I began looking at different mission opportunities and was offered an internship with Word of Life (WOL) Canada. When I was invited to become a full-time missionary with WOL, I accepted. I am blessed to be currently serving as the Dean of Women.
