About Kortney

I have been extremely blessed to have been raised in a Bible-believing, Jesus-loving family. I was about the age of six when my dad took me aside and told me how I could meet my Heavenly Father. I believed in the death and resurrection of Jesus. I was then baptized at the age of 8 as a testimony of this faith. However, even through all of this, I had tried so hard to please others that my heart grew heavy as I battled a legalistic mentality. Thankfully, I continue to learn about this grace that God has lavished upon me and the love my Savior has for me. I had the opportunity to attend two years at the Bible Institute and from there started working with the International Ministries at Word of Life. God has done a marvelous work within me and I understand, more than ever, that God is not finished with me yet! Through every season He remains faithful.

But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” - Lamentations 3:21-24
