Ministry Description

I will be an intern in the French language school, where I will improve my French and learn how to teach it to missionaries preparing to go to French-speaking countries and others interested in learning the language. I will also work in the marketing department, where I will create content for the English social media accounts and promote the French language school.

About Lynnell

I trusted in Christ and was saved at a young age. It wasn’t until high school that I understood what this reality meant for me and let it change my life. When I attended Cedarville University, I began a process of surrendering my plans to God, asking Him what He wanted me to do for His glory. After university, God led me to Québec, Canada to do an immersion program with Word of Life (Parole de Vie [PDV]). Through this experience, I lived the most humbling year of my life where God showed me my only secure identity was in Jesus Christ and not in anything crafted exterior to Him. During this year, I also felt God ask me “Are you willing to follow me wherever I am leading you?” I wrestled with that question until I had to memorize Luke 9:23 for the Bible school at PDV. Through this verse, I decided to deny myself and my plan and to follow Him by doing the Word of Life Cross Cultural Internship at PDV. God used my year in Québec to humble me, give me a heart for the people of Québec, see the needs at PDV, and how He had been equipping me throughout my life to embark in this ministry.

Hebrews 12:1-2: Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
