Ministry Description

Word of Life uses different methods to reach youth and children with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Among these methods are Camps, Resources offered to churches such as Bible Clubs (youth) and Olympics (children), and evangelistic programs (children's shows, puppets, visitation in schools, etc.)

My assigned responsibilities within each of these methods include:
-Bible Clubs and Olympic: develop programs, train leaders in churches, look for new churches to support, maintain contact with pastors, and discipleship with girls.

-Evangelistic programs: creative area, makeup, and evangelism.

-Camp: logistics and database, counseling team.

-Administrative area: assistant to the director, carrying out administrative functions, document and information management, and internal and external communication, freeing up management's burden.

About Luciana

I grew up in a Christian family where they taught me about Jesus and the love of God. In 2009, when I was 17 years old, I attended a Word of Life camp in which I was able to understand the gospel and accept the gift of salvation given to the world through the sacrifice and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. My life changed, sadness and loneliness were gone, now I felt purposeful, loved and hopeful. I gave up self-destructive habits and constant suicide attempts. I started to live a real life and that same year I was able to take part in a short training on missions led by missionary Jean Parks from North Carolina. At the end we went on a missionary tour to the Gnobe Bugle Indian village where I understood my call to missions.

In 2012 I began to serve in the Word of Life camps as part of the staff in charge of cleaning, food service, and games. During that year God speak to my heart to serve him with my life, due to fear of different things I fled from that call. In 2014 God spoke again with his word in 2 Timothy 2:15 "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth", so then I took the decision to go to the Biblical Institute of Word of Life Mexico to learn more about his word and be able to use it correctly in service to Him. But when I returned to my country, after three years of study and ministry, fear invaded my mind again. I decided to live according to society has stipulated principles, so I looked for work and took other studies.
Thanks to the grace and mercy of God who always followed me, and to the inexhaustible love and patience of the Lord, I once again heard God's clear call for my life, to serve Him leaving everything behind. So this year 2023, I decided to obey and join the Word of Life Panama team as a missionary in service of our Lord to preach his gospel and help young people and children grow in His knowledge.

But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life. 1 Timothy 1:16 NLT
