The Word of Life ministry in Cuba is currently focused on evangelization, making disciples of Christ, and training leaders of the various local churches in the country. Also, over the past four years, we have been able to hold Word of Life camps every summer, providing opportunities for many young people to consecrate themselves to the Lord and for others to accept Christ. Eduardo and Dayana Acosta are the only Word of Life missionaries in Cuba, but they have 20 young leaders from local churches who are a great support for all that God is allowing them to do.
Cuba is an island nation located at the confluence of the northern Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Atlantic Ocean. Its official language is Spanish, and it is a country with a rich culture and a socialist government. The island is known for its beaches, music, and colonial architecture, making it a popular tourist destination. Currently, the island has an estimated population of about 9 million, and in recent years, it has been experiencing one of the worst economic crises in its history.
