Ministry Description

I work with local churches with the Bible Clubs ministry, evangelizing and discipling young people to help them become more like Christ. We work closely with youth leaders in local churches, training and equipping them with Biblical material for their youth groups.

Paula stays home with the kids, but during our Summer camps she is in charge of the Infirmary.

About Luis

During my teenage years I got involved in alcohol, music and other ‘pleasures’ that this world offered me. One day, a friend of mine was invited to a Christian church; he didn't want to go by himself so he insisted I go with him. At the church, a young man invited me to their Bible Club. I attended the following Saturday and there I heard the Gospel and understood what Christ had done for me on the cross. I believed in Jesus, repented of all my sins and received Christ as my personal Savior.

I continued to go to church, grow in my faith and even start serving in the youth group. In 1992, at a Word of Life camp, I dedicated my life to God. Four years later, the Lord gave me the opportunity to study His Word at the Bible Institute in Argentina. During my time as a student, it was evident to me that God was calling me to be in full time ministry. I graduated and went back to Peru. I served three year as a youth pastor in my church and then joined Word of Life Peru as a missionary.

About Paula

At the age of 13, my parents took me to a Christian church. That day, the Pastor's wife preached the Gospel to me; I realized that there was sin in my life and that I needed Jesus to be my personal Savior. Since that day, God began to change my life. Every time a missionary would come and share at church, I would dream to be as missionary as well. Several years later, when I was 25, during a Missions Conference, God reminded me of the desire that I had in my heart since I was a teenager.

I was invited to go to a Word of Life camp and that week I decided to go to Argentina to study in the Bible Institute. Luis and I had met serving in our local church and we started dating right before I went to the BI. After I finished my studies, I returned to Peru and we got married on October 29, 2005. We have two beautiful children, Adriana (9) and Diego (6), and God has given us the privilege to lead them to the Lord!

Psalm 101:6 My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me; He who walks in a perfect way, He shall serve me.
