About Melissa

 At the age of four I trusted in Jesus Christ and his death, burial, and resurrection to save me from my sin and give me the opportunity to have a relationship with God. From then I have grown in my relationship with Jesus Christ. Although I grew up in a home and area where I was taught truth, I had a negative view of ministry. During my first year at the BI, studying the Word of God, my perspective on ministry changed. I saw that my purpose in life is to glorify God and share the good news of Jesus Christ with others. At the Missions Conference I choose to give the Lord control over my life and serve Him even in the area of my occupation. The Lord has given me a love for culture, people, and the Gospel. While on a missions trip to Mexico, I decided to pursue missions long-term. I believe that I have been called to share the Gospel and Word of Life’s Cross Cultural Internship (CCI) is an opportunity that the Lord has given me to do that!

And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should. Ephesians 6:19-20
