About Melissa

 At the age of four I trusted in Jesus Christ and his death, burial, and resurrection to save me from my sin and give me the opportunity to have a relationship with God. My relationship with Christ and my understanding of the Gospel grew exponentially during my last year of high school, into my first two years of college. Although I grew up in a home and area where I was taught truth, I had a negative view of ministry and ultimately was living like I did not need God in my day-to-day life. During my first year at the BI, studying the Word of God, my perspective changed. I came to understand that my purpose in life is to glorify God and share the good news of Jesus Christ with others. At the Missions Conference I choose to give the Lord control over every area of my life. The Lord has given me a love for culture, people, and the Gospel, and it is a joy to be involved in how God is using Word of Life all across the globe. My desire is to live a life of obedience to Christ in all that I do, wherever He sends me.

And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should. Ephesians 6:19-20
