Ministry Description

For this upcoming year I am planning on spending 6 months serving at Word of Life Belize. I plan to be there from July to December. During that time I will help serve in camp, help with local church ministries, school retreats and events and day to day responsibilities.

About Megan

Growing up I had an understanding that there was a God and that He had created me and the rest of the world. When I was 8 years old during a church service I learned about how God loved me but how I had sin in my life that separated me from Him. But He loved me so greatly that He sent Jesus to die on the cross for me. This is when I chose to accept what Jesus had done for me. From then on I actively tried to chase after the Lord and have a relationship with Him. When I was in 8th grade I chose to switch to a christian private school to even further my understanding of God and build better relationships that would push me towards the Lord. But when I was in 10th grade after a very difficult family situation I walked away from the Lord for a short period of time. The Lord was still faithful as He always is and He brought me back to Him. From then I got very serious about my relationship with the Lord and chose to go to Word of Life New York. As I got more invovled in ministry and started to learn my calling from the Lord it became very evident to me that He was calling me to full time ministry in some type of way. As I have had my past trips to Belize the Lord has grown my heart for the country and its people and the push to serve there.
