My responsibilities with Word of Life Belize will be to serve along side the other full time missionaries in the various ministries that they have. I will be helping with Bible Clubs, the Olympians Program, conferences and retreats that they run, and their summer camp season. I will be serving in whatever area they need so my role will change to what is needed most at the time during the ministries that they are doing.

About Megan

Hello everyone! My name is Megan Irizarry and I am going to Belize with Word of Life as a full time missionary. I was raised in a family that loves the Lord and always served in our local church and ran the missions trips for our church. My parents raised my brother and I to love God and serve Him first in all that we do. I have been doing mission trips with my family and church since I was 12 years old however I never made Christ personal to my life during that time. I knew all the right answers and I loved helping at my church and doing mission trips but it was always my family's faith I held on to. Years later I went to Word of Life Bible Institute South Korea for my first year of college and during their missions conference it was then that I personally accepted Jesus into my life. It was during this time that God had called me to be a missionary and a couple years later after I graduated college I then joined Word of Life in their Cross Cultural Internship Program. I went to Word of Life South Korea to teach English as a second language at their School of Youth Ministries in English Program (SYME). I learned so much about what it was like to be a missionary on the field for 2 years. During my time there and after the internship God was already placing the stepping stones towards Belize that I did not realize at first. Through my parents and their mission trip to Belize with Word of Life while I was in South Korea for the Cross Cultural Internship, I was able to meet the missionaries from Word of Life Belize in my home after I came back to the states as they were support raising because they knew my parents and through that God allowed me to go and serve with them in Belize 3 different times. Each time I went God was preparing me and putting a burden on my heart to serve in the beautiful country of Belize full time and I accepted the call to go. I am very thankful to God that He has allowed me to go on this adventure. God is moving in Belize and I am very excited to go and be a part of it!
