Hi, we're Nathanael and Laura Schweizer. We minister in Austria.
Learn more about the ministry in Austria.
I have the privilege that my parents are Christian. From a young age, my parents always read the Bible to me and I also knew about the gospel. I don't know for sure the day that I was saved but I know that I am a child of God and my sins are forgiven. In 2018 I was invited to the MissionConference at the Word of Life Campus in Hungary. That was when I decided that I would like to go to a Bible Institute. In 2020 I went to the Word of Life Bible Institute in New York for two years. During that time God showed me more and more the need in Austria and put it on my heart to go into Full Time Missions.
I grew up in a Christian home and was homeschooled my whole life. I accepted Jesus as my personal savior when I heard the gospel from one of my sisters around the age of 5. Growing up, I was not consistent in my quiet time and not really sure how to pursue a relationship with God. So, as I got older, I was not living my life for Him. It was not until I was around 18 that God showed me how much I need a relationship with Him. I knew of Word of Life growing up and I knew that it could give me a good foundation and help me to grow in my relationship with God and learn more about the Bible. So, in 2020, I started my first year at Word of Life Bible Institute in New York. As of August 13th, 2022, I have graduated from my second year at the Bible Institute. The last two years have grown me so much more than I had ever thought. There were many trials that I had to go through, but through those trials, I saw God's faithfulness and how He has been with me all my life. I saw the love He has for me, but also for those around me and how I need to be showing even a part of Christ's love to those around me. It was during my second year at Word of Life, right before I went on my Missions Reality trip to Nicaragua, that I felt my call into ministry. God showed me that my life is not my own and that I have been living in the mindset of what I want to do instead of what God wants me to do. My life does not belong to me, it belongs to God. I want to be living my life for Him, doing what He wants me to do, and how I can be glorifying Him. God showed me that if He is asking me to then I need to be willing to give up everything and go where He wants me to go. While in Nicaragua, during a couple of my small groups, God chose to use me to help lead some of the girls to Him. Seeing the joy on their face after they heard the gospel, that God had sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for their sins, rose from the dead and now they can have a relationship with Him was such an incredible experience that I was able to witness. I want to continue to be used by God in any way. After being able to talk to them and some of the other girls in Nicaragua I have realized just how much I love discipling teen girls. I want to continue to work with and help mentor young girls who need people to help point them back to Christ.
