Schedule Overview 20st-21st - leave the USA 21st-22nd - arrive at EBB airport in Uganda 23rd - Church and medications preparation 24th - treat staff + travel to clinic locations 25th-28th - clinics 29th - travel and tourism 30th Church and tourism 30th-31st - depart or optional safari extension (not included in trip cost) Word of Life Uganda has a missionary experienced in booking safari adventures. He can get you the best price if you reserve 6+ months in advance Healthcare Ministry: • We will treat our patients as thoroughly as possible given the ability of our team. • This team of volunteer healthcare professionals will use their skills and abilities to help those who have little-to-no access to medical care.
Evangelistic Ministry: • Our team will share the Gospel with every person we treat. • In 2023, we treated 805 people and 159 of them trusted Christ! • In 2024, we treated 697 people and God brought 83 of them to Himself! • In 2025, we treated 960 people and saw 157 trust Jesus as Savior! • Word of Life Uganda is passionate to train up youth to reach their generation with the Good News of the Gospel! They have a Bible Institute to equip young adults to share Jesus with the people of Africa! They work closely with local pastors to ensure new believers are plugged into a local church.
Details
Travel
• The group will be flying in/out of Entebbe International Airport (EBB). • Accepted team members will be provided with arrival and departure windows and options for travel agents. This makes booking flights as easy as copying the arrival and departure window paragraphs and sending them to the travel agent!
Visa
• Uganda utilizes a digital Visa which costs $50. Details on applying for the visa will be provided to accepted team members. It is fairly easy process.
Food
• The group will be eating meals at the various hotels we stay at, at the clinics we will hold, and at some resturants. They tend to eat a later lunch in Uganda, around 13:00. I can promise you will be fed 3 meals each day, and can guarantee the late arrival of lunch some days. I will provide accepted team members with snack-packing advice in order to cope with the meal schedule. • We are able to provide alternate meal options for those with allergies. • Eating out on days off/tourism days is not included in the trip cost.
Housing
• The group will be staying on Word of Life Uganda's property + at hotels throughout the trip.
Transportation
• The Ugandan missionaries will handle our transportation in Uganda, where they drive on the left-hand side of the road!
What To Bring

What To Wear
• Scrubs (healthcare professionals) with close-toed shoes for work. • Modest casual clothing for free time and day off. Mid-thigh to knee-length shorts are acceptable. • Bathing suits: "1-piece" with shorts for women (please no midriff), hand-length shorts for men. • As we represent the reputations of the Word of Life's missionaries, we will adhere to the same Word of Life standard of conduct as the missionaries for the duration of the missions trip, as well as travel to and from the field.
Other
• Like all of our trips, Word of Life requires each team member to have a background check within 12 months of the trip. • $1,000 trip cost includes travel insurance, in-country expenses (food, housing, and local transportation), and a contribution towards medications/supplies. • Trip cost does not include international airfare, visa, and background check. • Payment is due before June 26th, 2026 (8 weeks prior to the trip).
