WTA Paraguay 2026 Oct 5-16 Construction on Camp Property

Asunción, Paraguay

Opportunity: WTA Paraguay 2026 Oct 5-16 Construction on Camp Property
Location: Asunción, Paraguay
Opportunity Type: Work Trip Adventures
Dates: October 5 - 16, 2026
# Project Description The primary focus of this work trip will be the leveling and improvement of our soccer field, along with the construction of stone bleachers along the sidelines. These upgrades will provide a safer and more functional environment for campers, churches, and ministry events. At the same time, the team will help enhance one of the most meaningful gathering places at camp by constructing wooden benches and improving the campfire area. For generations of campers, the campfire has been a place where testimonies are shared, friendships are strengthened, and many life-changing decisions for Christ are made. These improvements will create a welcoming environment for future campers and ministry groups to gather together around God's Word. # Ministry Impact Through Sports and Fellowship Soccer is much more than a game in Paraguay. It is the country's most beloved sport and one of the most effective tools we have for building relationships and sharing the Gospel with children, teenagers, and families. Throughout the year, the soccer field serves as a gathering place where friendships are formed, churches come together, and countless opportunities for discipleship and evangelism take place. Likewise, the campfire area is one of the most cherished locations on the property. It is often during these evening gatherings that campers open their hearts, leaders invest personally in students, and memories are made that last a lifetime. These improvements will not only enhance the experience for campers attending Word of Life programs, but they will also allow us to better serve local churches and Christian organizations that rent our facilities for retreats, conferences, and sporting events. Providing quality facilities enables us to welcome more groups, strengthen partnerships with churches, and create additional opportunities to impact lives with the message of Jesus Christ. By helping improve these areas, your team will be investing in ministry tools that will be used for years to come to reach the next generation and serve the Body of Christ throughout Paraguay. # Turism Opportunity A true bucket-list experience! Discover the world-famous Iguazu Falls, one of the largest and most breathtaking waterfalls on earth and one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature. Located at the Triple Frontier of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay, the falls are just a couple of hours drive from the camp property.

Maintaining and expanding the Word of Life Paraguay facilities is a key component of our strategic vision to reach Paraguayan youth with the message of salvation. Each year, the demand for space continues to grow, and having safe and adequate facilities allows us to increase our capacity for children, youth, and family camps. The work accomplished by construction teams accelerates critical projects that would otherwise take months or even years to complete, allowing us to focus more of our resources directly on discipleship, evangelism, and the training of local leaders.

Other

Health, Climate, and Insect Protection No vaccinations are required to enter Paraguay. Regarding mosquitoes, we recommend purchasing insect repellent locally rather than bringing large quantities from abroad. Products available in Paraguay are specifically formulated for the insects common to our region and tend to be more effective. Electricity and Tools Paraguay operates on 240-volt electricity. Outlets have round and blades like the US but are 240 volt. Since most U.S. tools and devices use 120 volts, it is important to verify that chargers and equipment are dual voltage. Otherwise, participants should bring the appropriate voltage converters to avoid damaging batteries and electronic devices. * * * Tourism Opportunity * * * Paraguay's location provides a unique opportunity for international tourism. Since Paraguay borders Brazil, teams will have the opportunity to visit the city of Foz do Iguaçu and experience one of the world's most breathtaking natural wonders, the famous Iguazu Falls. The excursion also includes time to enjoy an outstanding Brazilian all-you-can-eat buffet in downtown Foz do Iguaçu. It is a memorable experience and a wonderful way to celebrate the trip together as a team. Join us in Building for Eternity By serving alongside the Word of Life Paraguay staff, your team will do much more than complete construction projects. Every cabin expanded, every building improved, and every space prepared will help create opportunities for children, teenagers, and families to hear the Gospel and grow in their relationship with Christ. Your work will have an impact that reaches far beyond bricks and concrete. Together, we are investing in the next generation and building facilities that will be used to proclaim God's Word for years to come. Thank you for considering partnering with Word of Life Paraguay. We look forward to serving alongside you!
