Healthcare professionals will treat those who come to the clinics while the missionaries and non-medical volunteers will share the life-changing message of the Gospel with each and every person waiting to be seen. Application open until December 19, 2026 (8 weeks prior to travel).
Evangelistic Ministry: Through one-on-one conversation and group presentations while people are waiting to see a medical professional the Gospel will will changed and each person will be challenged to take their next steps with Jesus. We can anticipate 2,000 people will come through these pop-up medical clinics during the eight day trip. Word of Life Guatemala is passionate about training up the next generation of youth to reach their generations with the Gospel message, and will be on hand to serve alongside our team.
Details
Travel
Team members will be picked up from the Guatemala City airport (GUA) on Saturday, February 13, 2027. More details about the arrival window will be provided to approved team members.
Visa
U.S. citizens will receive a visitor visa upon entry to Guatemala. No advance visa application will be required.
Food
The team will enjoy delightful, authentic, and tasty food prepared by our missionary team. We will eat well, and they are able to accommodate dietary restrictions.
Housing
Our group will stay at the Word of Life Guatemala camp property. They have nice rooms with A/C.
Transportation
Word of Life missionaries will take care of all the in-country transportation needs.
What To Bring
A packing list will be provided to approved team members.
What To Wear
Please consider the reputations of Word of Life missionaries and cultural expectations and preferences: - Scrubs for healthcare professionals with close-toed shoes during clinics. - Modest casual clothing for free time and our day off. - Bathing suits should be one-piece with shorts for women (please no midriff), and hand-length shorts for men. Please prefer our missionaries for the duration of the missions trip, as well as travel to and from the field.
Qualifications
Even if you are not a healthcare profession you are welcome to join this trip. There are needs for extra hands during the clinic times.

$916.75
About the Finances
Total anticipated cost could be around $1,900 depending on the cost of your airfare. Trip cost paid to Word of Life is $900 to cover emergency medical insurance and food, housing and transportation expenses to Word of Life Guatemala. Plus you will need to purchase your own airfare to and from Guatemala. During the application process you will end up paying a $16.75 fee for a Federal Background Check. You can expect to purchase your airfare anytime after you are accepted on the trip, and you have received the arrival and departure guidelines. You can expect to pay for your Federal Background Check during the application process. You can expect to pay the $900 trip fee to Word of Life before December 18, 2026 (8 weeks prior to trip departure).
