The work teams come and serve alongside Word of Life missionaries, building personal relationships with them while also working on projects at the camp property, such as building camp dormitories or other construction projects. Our prayer is to invest in the lives of the team members while they are here and also allowed them to see the eternal impact they will have in Honduras. The team's focus will be work projects in the camp property, but they will also be able to participate in a local church on Sunday, see some of the Honduran culture, and have a free day for site-seeing.
The work teams are such a vital part of the ministry as they build housing and dormitories with the purpose of hosting more teens during our camp season, Discipleship Training Center, and leaders' events throughout the year. For our ministry to continue to expand, we need to build more dormitories, especially an area for married couples and families to stay in. Each dormitory and bed represents another person that may take their next step in their walk with Christ.

Travel
The team will arrive and depart from Palmerola Airport (XPL), which is located about 45 minutes north of the camp property.
Visa
No visa is required to enter Honduras. The only documentation required is a valid passport.
Food
The team will eat at the camp property at our dining hall on most occasions. On site-seeing days, the team would eat in another local restaurant. We are able to accommodate any food allergies or restrictions the team members have.
Housing
The work team will stay at our camp property in Zambrano.
Transportation
While in the country, Word of Life Honduras facilitates transportation to other locations, when necessary, specifically using our ministry vans.
What To Bring
*Are there supplies that the team can take or tools needed. Any special items dealing with the project or missionary needs? A list of personal missionary needs will be asked for so you will be able and ready to share.*
What To Wear
The team members are expected to dress according to the day's activity, such as work clothes for the days of physical work at the property. Team members should also bring modest church clothes for Sunday morning. On the site-seeing day, they can use more relaxed comfortable clothes, but it is important to take into consideration modesty especially for the girls (do not use shorts that are extremely short or revealing).

Disclaimer for Word of Life Overseas Work Trips Our scheduled work trips are contingent on a few things: • having the number of team members necessary to fulfill the mission of the trip • safety in the country for our group • Word of Life successfully raising the necessary funds for projects and materials required during this trip. In the event that sufficient funds are not raised, the trip may be postponed until adequate funding becomes available. We strongly recommend not purchasing your airline tickets too early or until the trip host gives the OK. It is recommended you purchase travel insurance when booking your airline ticket to protect against unforeseen changes or cancellations. Most airline tickets are non-refundable. If you are not able to attend, the funds you have paid will remain in the Work Trip Adventures account and could be applied to a future trip. About the Finances
Trip cost covers food, lodging, in country transportation, travel insurance, $125 work funds and $75 host cost are included in the trip cost. Airfare is not included. Airfares run from $500 to $750 from the east coast depending on the time of year. These work trips are designed for everyone to attend. A love for the Lord to serve and a willingness to be blessed are what we are looking for. If you can do these things, you qualify! This trip is a great one to take your whole family or church and enjoy a week serving together.
