Hi, we're Peter and Miriam Chae. We minister in South Korea Mainland.
I'm the director of Ministry Advancement in Word of Life Korea.
It means that I'm making connections with Pastors and churches, networking, setting up trainings and events/camps with churches and building relationships that lead to partnerships.
Also, I preach and do trainings in churches in order to raise up more gospel advancing leaders.

I was born in a Christian family with Presbyterian background and my family believed in Jesus for three generations.
During my childhood, I have enjoyed the blessing of hearing God's word and going to early morning prayer meetings with my mother.
My mother especially emphasized the life of faith to me, and she always asked me to live like a man of God.
The story I always heard during my childhood was "be more kind and become a better person for the glory of God."
However, as I became a teenager, many troubles and questions arose.
As my parents always emphasized, I tried to be more kind and become a better person for the glory of God, but my life did not go as I thought.
My mind was always empty, and I did not know the purpose of life.
Still, I tried to avoid disappointing my parents, and I lived a double life.
Then one day, I tried to commit suicide because I was tired of trying to live a perfect life for my parents. Life was empty and I didn’t know the purpose of life.
However, my suicide attempt failed, so I lived every day with a heavy heart.
In the first year of high school, I went to a summer retreat, and my expectations to learn the Word of God were higher than ever before.
I had a desire to find God's will and make that time a turning point in my life.
God knew my expectation and hope, and gave blessings to me.
That year, through the message from the retreat instructor, I realized that I had to die for my sins and that I needed Jesus Christ.
He said through 1 John 1: 9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” After hearing this message, I confessed my sins and accepted Christ as my Savior by faith.
That day was the day I received Jesus Christ as my Savior, and it was the happiest day in my life because I came to know the purpose of my life.
After I was saved and decided to give my life to God, God faithfully led my life to answer the call to missions.
I was born in a non-believing family. When I was a child, I occasionally attended a nearby church, but I did not know who Jesus was. Then, the middle school I went to was a Christian private school. There was a church in the school, so non-believing students had to attend the school church to get grades. So I went to church and participated in religious activities to get better grades. When I was in 11th grade, I went to a retreat for Christian leaders at the Korean Christian Camp Ground(KCCG) in Bulgwang-dong, Seoul, and that year, at the summer retreat, I met Jesus. "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life." (John 5:24)
After graduating from high school, I served at the KCCG, helping with youth ministry, and realized that this was the vision that God gave to me. I met my husband, who shared the same vision with me, and decided to build the kingdom of God together.
Then we joined Word of Life, which targets teens to share the gospel through camps, and continued our ministry of serving God to this day.
The vision that God gave us is to have many teens in South Korea hear the gospel from their Christian friends. Thank you so much.
