Hi, I'm Peyton-Ryanne Rosepiler.
I'm ministering with Overflow Legacy
As a member of the Overflow Legacy band, I travel for 11 months in a van with 8 other people. We lead worship at schools, youth groups, churches, spiritual resets, and camps. I get play the piano and sing. When we get to events, we all work together to unload everything from the van, set up all instruments, tech, promo table etc. and sound check. This all usually needs to be done in 45 minutes. We bring rally games, worship, testimonies, and messages. After the event is finished, we clean up everything and leave the building better than we found it. However, our ministry is not just music. In every event we attend we seek to make deep connections with people leading to gospel conversation. I have had the opportunity to share the gospel with people of many different ages. We also encourage young kids that want to get into leading worship. When in schools, we attend any classes we can and all lunches. I have been able to make connections with kids because of playing games or sitting with them at lunch. I also work the Word of Life table, which promotes the bible institute as well as camps, student fusion, and camp crew. We have been traveling for 3 months (at this point), and we have already seen 2 people confirm to attend the Bible institute. Outside of events, living with 8 people is not easy. I have grown much in my communication skills, patience, kindness, and boldness. It is difficult when I am homesick and tired, but this is where I've seen the Lord grow me the most. I have also been able to show love to team members by cooking meals and cleaning the Airbnb's.
Hi! My name is Ryanne Rosepiler. I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home. I did not put my faith in God until I was nine years old, after my brother explained the gospel to me. Because I was so young I did not realize that I needed to walk with God daily. I spent the next few years living for myself. My grandparents got sick, and my mom became a full-time caretaker for them. My dad was also traveling a lot for work. I have two older brothers, but they did not like me, so I was receiving little attention at home. When I was 13 my grandmother passed away and that sent my mom into a spiraling depression. The little attention I was getting at home ceased and in the whole process I forgot that God was there for me. I spent years searching for identity and worth. I went down dark paths to try and find attention, but nothing fulfilled the longing for love in me. When I was 15, I started going to a youth group in hopes that I would find friends. After a few weeks the Lord wrecked me, and I finally realized the way I was living was not what I was called to do. I told God that I would test him. He could have my yes. If he could control my life better than I could, I would follow him. Well, little did I know what that one "yes" would do. Over the next few years, he grew me into have a personal relationship with him. He called me to join the praise band, even though I did not play instruments or sing in front of people. He put me into leadership positions and eventually lead me to spend a year at the Word of Life Bible Institute. I was blessed to make the Overflow band and at the end of my first year, he opened the door for me to be a member on the Overflow Legacy band. I knew this was God calling me into missions because it is very rare that they let a first year on the Legacy band. After much prayer, I feel I am being called to continue in Legacy for two full years rather than one. I will continue to step out in faith. I do not know where God will lead me after these two years, but I will carry the gospel with me wherever he leads me.
