Hi, we're Robert and Peace Baguma. We minister in Uganda.
The church is God’s instrument to bring hope and transformation to the world but for it to thrive, leaders must be equipped, missionaries must be supported, and the Gospel must be proclaimed with boldness. That’s the heart of my calling.
As the Training & Missionary Care Coordinator for Word of Life Uganda, I have the privilege of:
✅ Training and equipping pastors, church leaders, and ministry workers so they can effectively teach, disciple, and shepherd their communities.
✅ Walking alongside missionaries-both local and international(as they spend time in Uganda)- to provide spiritual encouragement, practical support, and a strong foundation to keep them serving with endurance and joy.
Not long ago, I sat with a pastor who was completely exhausted- burned out, discouraged, and questioning his calling. But through training, mentoring, and ongoing support, he found renewal in Christ. Today, he’s leading strong, discipling others, and transforming his community with renewed commitment.
This is what God has called me to do. But I can’t do it alone.
Right now, there are hundreds of leaders, missionaries, and communities that need encouragement, training, and resources to stand firm in their faith and ministry. Will you be part of this mission?

I grew up in a devout Catholic family, believing my path was set - to serve as a priest in the Catholic Church. By age 10, I was fully immersed in its traditions, preparing to join the seminary. But then, God disrupted my plans.
During Christmas break in 1991, I encountered Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. In that moment, everything changed. The Gospel was no longer just a tradition; it was truth that demanded a response.
My family thought it was a phase. They believed I would return to my old beliefs in a few weeks. But God had already begun a work in me that no human resistance could undo. When I went back to school, the cost of following Christ became real. I was mocked, ridiculed, and rejected-not just for backing out of the seminary, but for daring to share my faith with my fellow students. Yet, God kept placing me in leadership from Scripture Union in high school to Christian Union in university.
Still, I wrestled with doubt. Could I really balance ministry with work, study, and family? I even prayed, asking God to give me a break- just let me serve You when I turn 40. But God had other plans.
In 2019, a friend invited me to the Bible Institute, where I encountered God’s Word in a deeper way. Then, in 2020, it hit me that God had honored my prayer. He had given me time to grow, but now He was calling me to step fully into vocational ministry.
Today, I stand in awe of how God has led me. The challenges are still there. Balancing family, work, and ministry is not easy. But I trust the One who called me. And I know this: I was saved to help others find salvation. I was discipled to make disciples. I was led so I could lead.
Now, my mission is clear: To equip and disciple others so that lives and entire communities will be transformed by the Gospel, just as mine was.
