Hi, I'm Rieleigh Dunn. I minister in Portugal.
I have been given the oppertunity serve as a Word of Life missionary in Portugal for two years, while completing my degree online. This is an internship through Word of Life called the Cross Cultural Internship. While in Portugal, I will serve with the missionaries who are already there to reach young people with the Gospel. We will be doing a variety of ministry such as summer youth camps, Bible clubs for kids, serving in and with the local church, and evangelism. I am so excited to learn the Portuguese culture and language and share the good news of Jesus with them.

When asked to state who he was, John the Baptist replied " I am the voice of one crying out into he wilderness."(ESV Jn. 1:23). The gospel of Jesus Christ saved my life. I am merely a voice proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. Being raised in a Christian family, I had knowledge of who God is and what the Bible said. I understood that God is holy and the creator and sustainer of the universe (Act.17:24-25) I thought I was a Christian because I believed in God and said a prayer to go to heaven. When I was around 13 years old I was in the darkest time of my life. I was broken, hopeless, and I felt like I had not purpose (Eph. 2:1). I was in anguish over my sin, and understood I was guilty before God. "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." My only hope was son of God dying on the cross for my sins and rising from the dead. So, I cried out to God and confessed my sins, I believed in Jesus (Rom.10:9-10). As I grew closer to God, I also grew in my understanding of what he has done for me. He has given me new life (Gal. 2:20). He is the reason I have breath in my lungs and I want to use the breath he has given me for his glory. God has called believers to make disciples of all nations. So I desire to share the gospel with the nations. "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few." (Mat. 9:37b). I am a laborer, a voice sent to share the good news. This is why I want to be a missionary. Because the Gospel has changed my life and I need to share it. "As it is my eager expectation and hope, that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For me to live is Christ and to die is gain."(Phil.1:20-21)
