Ministry Description

Transforming Portugal one disciple at a time through Gospel-centered relationships. That is our heart: to see our nation transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, one life at a time. We seek to help young people know Christ personally, become rooted in His Word, and learn to live for Him.

Ester focuses primarily on music and worship, using it to point young people toward Christ and develop a biblical understanding of worship. Raúl focuses on teaching and discipleship, investing in young people through God’s Word and helping them grow in their relationship with Christ. Together, we serve through camps, youth outreach, sports, leadership training, and partnerships with local churches. Raúl is also continuing his preparation through online studies with Word of Life Argentina as we seek to grow and serve the Lord faithfully and effectively.

About

My name is Raúl Moura D’Alge. I was born in 1994 in Barreiro, Portugal. Although I was introduced to Jesus from a young age, I spent many years rejecting God and eventually became an atheist. I pursued money, work, and pleasure as my source of purpose, but ultimately found myself empty and deeply depressed.
In 2022, during one of the darkest seasons of my life, God used Ester, my high school sweetheart, to show me that Jesus was not simply a religion, but a personal relationship. I surrendered my life to Christ, experienced His transforming grace and was baptized soon after.

Word of Life has been a significant part of my journey. It was there, as a teenager, that I was first introduced to Jesus, and years later it became the place where God brought Ester and me back together. We were married there in 2025, and today we have the privilege of serving the Lord together at Word of Life Portugal.
Having experienced the emptiness of life without Christ and the hope found in Him, my desire is to dedicate my life to serving Jesus, investing in young people, and sharing the Gospel wherever He leads.

About Ester

My name is Ester Moura D'Alge. I was not raised in a Christian or fully functional family. Through my mother, who came to faith as a young adult, I was introduced to church and the gospel. At just five years old, I came to understand that I was a sinner in need of a Savior, and I placed my faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for me.
As I grew, God continued working quietly in my heart. At 16, during a Word of Life camp, I first sensed Him calling me to give my life completely to Him. I resisted that calling for years, but at 24, I finally surrendered and chose to trust God with my future, leaving behind my plans and stepping into the unknown. I left my job, my house and my country behind to pursue that calling in my life. After a year of serving Jesus at a church in Spain, I decided to move to New York and dedicate 2 years to study God's Word at the Word of Life Bible Institute.

Since then, God has continued to lead me through seasons of growth, uncertainty, surrender, and refinement. In February 2025, He blessed me with marriage, and in November of that same year, He entrusted me with the precious gift of our daughter, Noemi. Through every season, God has reminded me that His plans are better than my own and that His faithfulness never changes.
