Ministry Description

Roberto and Heidy have been serving with Word of Life Honduras since 2014. They minister as coordinators of the Local Church Ministry at the city of San Pedro Sula. They currently serve at 6 different churches, where they’re specifically working with High Schoolers. Their responsibilities include preaching, teaching, leadership training, . Roberto is a graduate of the 1st and 3rd year program at Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina and Heidy is a graduate of the 1st year program at Word of Life Bible Institute in Mexico.

About Roberto

I was born in a broken home. I have never met my father, and to this day I still don’t know his name. I was raised by my mother but she got very ill and passed away just a few days after accepting Christ as her personal Savior. After her death, my maternal grandmother raised both my younger sister and me. God used a friend of my mother to allow us to attend a church which was the instrument used for us to come to Christ. In 1992, I decided to accept Christ as my personal Savior. I was convinced that was the most important decision I could ever make and that He is the only one that could ultimately changed my life and my eternal destination. I grew up in church, but I didn’t allow great things to occur in my life. It wasn’t until I was invited to attend to a Word of Life camp when I began to understand what greater things God wanted to accomplish in my life. At the campfire service, I was led by the Lord to dedicate my life. I told Him that night that I was willing to be an instrument for His glory. Sometime later, God gave me the opportunity to serve as a bible club leader with the teens at my church. Then I was challenged by the Word of Life director to pray about going to the Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina. God’s provision was evident and I ended up traveling to the Bible Institute with the goal of receiving the necessary training to serve Christ in Honduras. I am now serving with my wife Heidy, and our sole desire is to be instruments of God to reach Honduras for Christ.
