About

I was not born in a Christian family. My father worked far from our home, so mom was really the one who raised me. Like many teenagers, from the age of 12 to 17, it was normal for me to drink and smoke.
One day a Pastor came to me to invite me to a soccer competition, which I came to find out was actually a week of camp at Word of Life Venezuela. For five days I fought in my heart until I couldn’t fight anymore. God broke my heart and I accepted Jesus as my savior. From that moment, God transformed my life.
I stayed at Word of Life Venezuela as an intern until 2007. In that year God opened the doors for me to go to the Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina, to prepare me for His work. In 2010 I returned to WOL Venezuela, this time as a missionary.
I met Carol through a Bible Club that I was working with, and at the end of 2011 we were married, and began our ministry serving the Lord together. God has given us a wonderful son, Santiago, who has joined us on our new adventure, Word of Life Dominican Republic, where we have been serving since December 2015.
For six years, while serving with Word of Life Dominican Republic, God was shaping my leadership. During that time, I learned what it means to be a servant of God, how to reach the next generation, and above all, how to allow Him to continue transforming my life.

During those years, God also blessed us with the joy of becoming parents to a beautiful daughter named Sara, who was born in 2019.

In 2020, God placed a new challenge before us: taking on the leadership of Word of Life Costa Rica. In November 2021, we moved to this country, without imagining all that God had prepared for us.

Taking on leadership in a country where people had already been trained and a ministry with an established history was not easy. However, to this day, we have witnessed God’s faithfulness. He has been with us, sustained us, challenged us, and allowed us to grow both personally and in ministry.

We continue working with the vision of developing the next generation, reaching the youth of Costa Rica with the message of Christ, and helping them take their next step with Him. Along this journey, God has blessed us with an amazing team and continues to bring people He has prepared to be part of this wonderful challenge.

Today, our ministry extends beyond the camp property to our Youth Center in San José. Every new step is an opportunity to keep growing, learning, and, above all, serving God in the best way we can.

Looking back, we can recognize that every stage has been part of the work God has done in shaping our lives. We move forward with the confidence that He is the One who guides us, equips us, and enables us to continue serving the next generation.

About Carol

God blessed me with the opportunity to come to know Him as my savior at five years old. My father is a pastor in Venezuela, and since I was very small we have been able to serve the Lord together as a family. At twelve years old, I had an operation on my brain, which was very hard on my family, but God performed a miracle and I am still living today.
To serve the Lord has always been the desire of my heart. God blessed me with husband who is a missionary, and now we are serving the Lord together. God has given us a wonderful son, Santiago, who has joined us on our new adventure, Word of Life Dominican Republic, where we have been ministering since December 2015.
God gave us the wonderful blessing of serving in the Dominican Republic for six years. It was a season in which I grew, learned, and was challenged to keep growing into the person Christ wants me to become.

Those were years of great learning and personal growth, as well as building beautiful relationships that allowed us to continue sharing the Gospel.

After those six years, God called us to Costa Rica. This time, it was no longer just about serving in a ministry, but about taking on a leadership role.

Since then, God has challenged us every year to grow, learn, and depend more on Him. Above all, He has given us the opportunity and privilege of working with the youth of Costa Rica, walking alongside them and equipping them to take their next step with Christ.

Acts 20:24 “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.”
