About Terry

Terry grew up on a farm in eastern PA. And at a young age dreamed of traveling the world. Thru my teen years I learned to work various jobs from restaurant work, to construction jobs. In the spring of 1990 I had a season in life where God challenged me in the meaning of life thru a difficult failed relationship. I asked The Lord to reveal himself. Over the summer I met my wife Beth, who was instrumental in sharing the Gospel. During the fall of 1991 I trusted Christ as my personal Savior. On Aug. 7 1992 we were married and became involved in a local church leading a youth group of teens. In 1994, Beth mentioned that Word of Life had a great camp program and that we should take our teen group to a winter snow camp event. This was the start of our relation ship with WOL. In the spring time of 1997-99 a small group would volunteer at the WOL Island for a week to help in the preparation of the camp. Also during these years I had the chance to go on several mission trips, to Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Poland. In the 2002 winter snow camp session both Beth and I felt The Lord calling us to come to Schroon Lake and attend the Word of Life Bible Institute. That fall we packed up our 3 children and belongings and headed there to study the Word of God. Upon completion of the second year program at Word of Life in 2004, I began working maintenance at the Word of Life Inn. This season helped broaden my experience in the construction field but also gave me a sense for using my experience overseas in the missions field. In 2006 Beth and I felt The Lord calling us to work along side the WOL missionary,s abroad as we had the chance to interact with many. The ministry we are involved with allows us to take Work teams to various WOL fields to work on there camp properties where we can expose people to the work . Let the workers Experience, the culture and the missionary life, while also helping the work team participants be Enlightened to the work of the Gospel and sharing their personal faith of Jesus Christ. 2 Cor. 12:9
