Hi, I'm Thomas Renault. I minister in France.
Would you like to give to this missionary's project?
Since 2023, I have served as a missionary intern with Word of Life France, primarily involved in:
- Youth ministry and discipleship, helping young people hear the Gospel, ask honest questions, and grow in their relationship with Christ.
- Summer camps, where I am in charge of the program. This means preparing all the major games and activities in advance for the camp weeks, ensuring that campers have a fun, structured, and meaningful experience that point to Christ.
- Supporting my local church in Dinan, being mentored in ministry, and contributing to the broader life of the church.
I am also involved with the association Points de Repère, which accompanies people in France who are searching for spiritual truth and exploring questions about Jesus. The association engages in apologetics, discipleship, youth ministry, and sharing worship music from churches, all with the aim of pointing people to Christ and helping them to grow in their faith. Having spent part of my education in the United States and traveling regularly across Europe and North America, primarily for family reasons, I am comfortable in cross-cultural environments. I am passionate about building bridges between cultures for the sake of the Gospel.
Starting in 2026, I plan to pursue biblical and theological training (BBP in Argentina, followed by IBG in Geneva), with the goal of serving long-term with Word of Life France and full-time in the local church wherever God leads me in France. If you would like to follow my journey, receive ministry updates, or connect with me, please subscribe to my newsletter. You can also find me on Facebook (Thomas Renaults) and Instagram (@thomas_renaults).
I want to sincerely thank you for your support for my ministry in France, through both your prayers and your financial contributions.
Learn more about the ministry in France.
I grew up in a church plant in France led by American missionaries with Tentmakers Bible Mission. This environment deeply shaped my love for the local church, missions, youth ministry, and evangelism. From an early age, I was exposed to cross-cultural ministry and the importance of faithfully proclaiming the Gospel while walking alongside people in their everyday lives. I accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was seven, but I was baptized at seventeen when I fully surrendered my life to Him, choosing to follow Him not only as my Savior but also as my Lord. Since then, my goal has been to make disciples who go on to make disciples. Before entering ministry training, I served two years in the French Army in Grenoble. This experience developed my discipline, perseverance, and a strong sense of responsibility. Feeling called to a more relational and service-oriented path, I resumed my studies in Special Education, working with teenagers and adults with disabilities. Since 2023, I have been completing a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Care while working in a group home that supports children and teenagers placed under child protection services. This hands-on work with vulnerable youth has been deeply formative, both personally and professionally, strengthening my desire to serve teenagers with compassion, structure, and hope.
